Adored husband of Benita "Be" McElwee (nee Zucker); loving father of Mitchell and Denise McElwee of Columbus; dear step-father of Rachel Schmidt (Jesse) of Lakewood and Mandi Fitzpatrick of So. Euclid; dear brother of Nonie Bretthauer (Ted) of Gahanna; grandfather of Devon, Stacie and Dylan.
The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in his name to The American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44106.
Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, October 27 at Brown-Forward, 17022 Chagrin Blvd, Shaker Hts, OH, WHERE FRIENDS MAY CALL 1 HOUR PRIOR TO THE SERVICE. ADDITIONAL VISITATION WILL BE HELD FROM 6-8PM ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 26 AT BROWN-FORWARD. Interment Lake View Cemetery.
